Loddington & Mawsley CC

Welcome to Loddington & Mawsley CC

The amalgamation of Loddington CC and Mawsley CC in late 2007 has provided the opportunity for more participation in cricket in the future, with the new ground at Mawsley enabling the club to field 3 Saturday teams in the Northants Cricket League.

The committee has also been strengthened to enable a more professional approach to be made to running the club as it grows in size.

The club has five level 2 and nine level 1 coaches, which shows its committment to raising standards of cricket within the club.

The club welcomes new players of all ages and abilities, male and female, and we provide something for everyone. For the 6 to 10 age group, we have games sessions held at Bishop Stopford Sports Hall in Kettering on Tuesday nights in the winter, and at Loddington in the summer; coaching sessions with Bob Bell, former Northants County U13 coach on Monday nights from 21st January at Bishop Stopford; and adult and youth cricket nets, also on Monday nights at Bishop Stopford.

We provide youth league cricket for girls and boys at the following ages: Under 10, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17; Senior cricket at Division 3, Division 8 and Division 13 on Saturdays; and Sunday league cricket.

For 2008 there will also be midweek friendlies for the more socially minded members, who prefer to spend more time in the bar than out in the middle!

As the club is Clubmark Accredited, it provides a safe environment for members to enjoy their cricket activities.

The club is a part of the Chance to Shine project, bringing cricket into state schools. Karl Sanders, the Cricket Development Manager, was recently presented with the Chance to Shine Manager of the Year at Lords by John Major and Matthew Hoggard.

The club also specialises in hosting corporate cricket events - for more information contact Richard Baker at rbaker@lsh.co.uk.
